Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 16 October 2026

These terms govern your use of Flashebox. They are short, written in plain English, and they describe this service rather than websites in general. By using Flashebox you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service — no account is involved, so stopping is simply a matter of closing the page.

1. Who you are dealing with

Flashebox (flashebox.com) is operated by Shariq Ventures, Lahore, Pakistan. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Shariq Ventures; "you" means the person using the service. Contact details are at the end.

2. What the service is

Flashebox provides temporary, disposable email inboxes. The relevant facts:

Receive onlyFlashebox inboxes cannot send mail or reply. This is deliberate and permanent.
No registrationA temporary inbox requires no account. An optional free account adds favourites and custom domains.
Address lifetime5 days from creation.
Message retention5 days on the mail server, then deleted automatically.
Guest inbox history2 days, then cleared automatically.
CostFree. No paid tier, no trial, no card.

Because the service is receive-only, a message that appears to come from a Flashebox address was not sent through us. We have no outbound mail capability at all.

3. Temporary inboxes are not private

This is the single most important term here, so it has its own section.

A temporary inbox has no password. Addresses are short, randomly generated strings, and anyone who knows or successfully guesses an address can open that inbox and read what is in it while it is still live. We do not treat the contents of a temporary inbox as confidential, and neither should you.

Accordingly, you must not use Flashebox to receive anything sensitive. That includes, and is not limited to: banking and payment information, government or tax correspondence, medical records, employment or immigration paperwork, insurance documents, legal correspondence, and password resets or verification codes for accounts that matter to you. If you do so anyway, you do it at your own risk and we accept no responsibility for the consequences.

4. Who may use the service

You must be at least 13 years old to use Flashebox. If you are under 18, use it only with the knowledge and agreement of a parent or guardian. You must also not be a person with whom we are prohibited from dealing under applicable sanctions law.

5. What you may use it for

We built this for ordinary, legitimate uses, and we would rather name them than leave you guessing:

  • Receiving a confirmation link, download link or one-time code for something you will not return to.
  • Signing up to a site that requires an address but does not need an ongoing relationship with you.
  • Testing your own sign-up, verification and welcome emails while building or maintaining a website.
  • Keeping a one-off purchase, quote request or forum registration from becoming a permanent newsletter subscription.
  • Reducing the number of places your real address is stored.

6. What you may not use it for

You must not use Flashebox:

  • To break any law that applies to you, or to help anyone else do so.
  • To commit or facilitate fraud, identity theft, phishing, impersonation or any form of deception for gain.
  • To evade a ban, suspension, block or enforcement action taken against you by another service, or to create multiple accounts somewhere in breach of that service's own rules.
  • To receive or distribute child sexual abuse material, or any other content whose possession is unlawful. We report this to the appropriate authorities and cooperate fully.
  • To harass, threaten, stalk or abuse any person.
  • To circumvent a trial limit, free-tier restriction, voucher condition or pricing rule that another business has set, where doing so breaches your agreement with them.
  • To receive material that infringes someone else's copyright, trade mark or other rights.
  • To attack the service: scraping at volume, brute-forcing or enumerating addresses to read other people's inboxes, flooding the mail server, probing for vulnerabilities without our written permission, or interfering with other users.
  • To resell, rebrand or commercially redistribute access to the service, or to operate an automated service on top of it, without our written agreement.

Attempting to guess or enumerate other people's temporary addresses in order to read their mail is the one we take most seriously. Do not do it.

7. Attachments

We accept common document, image, archive, audio and video attachment formats. Executable files are not accepted. We do not scan attachments for malware and we make no representation that anything arriving in a temporary inbox is safe to open. Treat attachments from unknown senders with the same suspicion you would anywhere else; opening them is your decision and your risk.

8. Optional accounts

If you create an optional free account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@flashebox.com if you believe it has been compromised. You may delete your account at any time, and you may ask us to delete it for you. We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms.

9. Availability, and what we do not promise

Flashebox is a free service run by a small operation. We work to keep it available and functioning, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular moment. We may change, suspend, limit or discontinue any part of it, including specific domains or features, with or without notice.

We also do not promise that mail sent to a temporary address will arrive. Mail can be rejected, delayed or lost for reasons outside our control, and a growing number of websites deliberately block known disposable-email domains, so some sign-ups will simply refuse a Flashebox address. That is their decision, not a fault in our service.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Loss of messages

Messages are deleted automatically on the schedule in section 2. Deletion is the point of the service. We cannot recover a deleted message, we do not restore mail from backups on request, and we are not liable for any loss arising from a message being deleted, expiring, or never arriving. If something matters, do not let it exist only in a temporary inbox.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of Flashebox. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us for the service — which, since the service is free, is nothing — or PKR 10,000.

This section does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Reporting abuse

If a Flashebox address has been used against you, email support@flashebox.com with the address and a short description of what happened. We read every report. Remember that the service is receive-only: if you have received a message that appears to come from a Flashebox address, it was not sent through us and the headers will show where it really came from.

We may block addresses, domains, IP addresses or accounts, remove content, and restrict or withdraw access, where we believe these terms have been breached or the service is being abused. We may do so without notice where the circumstances warrant it.

13. Advertising and third-party links

The site is funded by advertising supplied by Google. Advertisements and content on this site may link to websites we do not operate and do not control. We are not responsible for those sites, their content, their security, or their treatment of your data, and a link is not an endorsement. How advertising cookies work is set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

14. Our content

The articles, text, design and code on flashebox.com belong to Shariq Ventures. You may read, link to and quote briefly from our articles with attribution. You may not republish them in whole, or substantially in whole, without our written permission. The mail that arrives in a temporary inbox belongs to whoever wrote it; we claim no rights over it.

15. Ending it

You can stop using Flashebox at any time by closing the page. We may withdraw your access, with or without notice, if you breach these terms. Sections 9, 10, 11 and 14 survive the end of your use of the service.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The courts of Lahore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them, except that if you are a consumer resident in the UK, the EEA or Switzerland, nothing here deprives you of the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence where the law gives you that right.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and where a change is significant we will say so plainly on this page rather than quietly editing the text. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
